Where are you from?

Your style in 3 words?

Content versus style.

Your weakness? Your strength?

Weakness: unorganized, Strength: I am amazed by things like I am still eight years old.

What makes you different?

I am not a particular funny person in real life but try to draw funny stuff.

When did you decide to become an artist?

Been Taking it serious now for 3-4 years. Could not take it anymore to work as a sales man for a luxury fashion brand. And my art, that  helped me to keep my sanity, got some attention at that point.

What do you find most fascinating about your work?

Flow fascinates me. How your mind can enter another world when you are really into your work.

A few words about your favourite creation?

My tomato sauce recipe is pretty good because I add apple and carrots. I m also getting into making really good pizza dough. Dough is like some kind of lifeform. It’s amazing.

Someone else’s work that inspired or inspires you…

Rose Wylie. It scares me how free and powerful her paintings are. Can’t figure out how she does it.

Who would you like to work with someday and why?

I would love to work with Nadine Redlich. The funniest cartoonist in Germany.

Finish the sentence „More important than my career is…“

my work getting better.

When the going gets tough…

Ignore the news on your phone and have a few drinks too much so you are occupied with dealing with your hangover for the next day.

Put on your future vision glasses: What direction is our generation moving in, what will our world look like in 50 years?

People will work in VR. No more need for office spaces. We will be old and babbling about cars and drug prohibition and plastic and binary genders and all the things from the past and nobody will give a damn.

What would you do if you could change the World?

Shrink all male humans to a quarter of their size. Will solve a lot of problems.

If the universe is everything and it’s expanding, what is it expanding into?

It’s a loop, the end is the start.

Tell us about your future plans…

Surviving 2021, start a band, publish some sort of narrative thing. Also get tattooing going once it is allowed again.

Your city’s favourite spots?

Taking a walk on Karl Marx Allee. It’s vast and wide and not part of the cities bar and club scene so it does not scream for attention and leaves you alone. Weserhalle gallery. Accessible contemporary art gallery. Love it. Akademie der Künste in Tiergarten. Park am Gleisdreieck.
