If you haven’t heard about Awst & Walther yet, it’s about time you do your homework. Not only was the Welsh-German interdisciplinary artist duo featured in our last print edition (reason enough to be well-informed) but since the paths of Manon (the architect) and Benjamin (the theatre director) crossed in 2006 and soon merged to Awst & Walther, their fame has been rising fast within the European art circles.
We discovered the artist duo at Hannah Barry Gallery in London’s über-cool Peckham a couple of years ago, since then they made it into the infamous bunker of Mr. Boros where their work is on show next to Ai Weiwei’s and Wolfgang Tillmans’ (just to name drop a few names). And what next? Lots and lots of exhibition, of course! Next one up is Ground to Sky, the artists’ first solo exhibition with PSM Gallery in Berlin, opening on the 22nd of March.
So, I’m sure we all know what next week’s assignment is!?
