Who are you? What do you do?
Basically, I’m a colour hunter. I use my imagination as a colour catching net and collect them for my new paintings.
Where are you from?
I’m from Istanbul, Turkey. I’ve been living in Bodrum (south aegean) for 3 years.
Your style in 3 words?
colour harmony sensibility
Your weakness? Your strength?
My weakness is perfectionism and my strength is to turn perfectionism into advantage.
What makes you different?
I think my paintings are timeless. My portraits do not remain imprisoned in a single statement. Their gazes are changing, just like us. One day in the same picture is sad, another day is possible to see a happy face.
When did you decide to become an artist?
It’s not about decisions. I can say, literally, I was born this way.
What do you find most fascinating about your work?
Most things are happening spontaneously while I’m painting; I do not do sketch work beforehand. I draw directly on paper, apply pattern and start to paint. So, frankly, I can say, I rarely know what will happen in the next step.
A few words about your favourite creation?
I cannot categorize my paintings. All of them are the best at the moment they’re created.

A new project coming up or an idea you want to work on?
I want to continue with the portraits for a while. I don’t know what time brings. Life is full of surprises!
2017: Where are we going?
The world is getting worse day by day because of human.
When the going gets tough…
we should find something to do but…not that easy.
Your city’s favourite spots?
I live in a village. There are some local taverns in downtown, I love to go there...
Do you have a vision?
I would love to attend a composite exhibition or an art event abroad.
