When did you decide to become an artist?
My older brother (physicist) has always been the smart one. So I guess I was
meant to be the creative one. But artistically I wouldn’t be where I am right now without the most wonderful high school teachers one could ever possibly wish for.
Do you choose your art form, or does the form choose you?
I think my art form is a summary of my past, respectively it chose me.
What do you find most fascinating about the creative process?
I always get the most excited when a project turns out just the way I envisioned it. Also it is a very rewarding feeling holding the finished piece in your hands after spending so many hours crafting it.
A few words about your favorite creation?
I am very happy how this years Rundgang work “ghosted* turned out. It circles around the topics of digital dating, modern time communication and queer
culture.
What surprised you most about your first art shows?
I haven’t participated in many art shows yet. So I am not really sure if I am
qualified to answer this question.
Someone else’s work that inspired or inspires you…
I am deeply grateful to be surrounded by so many young creative talents among my friends and my everyday live. Thats where I draw my inspiration from, spending time with them is such a blessing! When it comes to big names: Tauba Auerbach, Richard Serra, Iris Van Herpen
etc.
Who would you like to work with someday and why?
My very dear friend Franziska Prohaska. I admire her talent and work very much. We are planning to collaborate this semester. Now that it is written here
it really has to happen.
A new project coming up or an idea you want to work on?
I really need to stop spending money on expensive material, so l am planning
to work mainly with paper and cardboard for my next few projects.

2024: Where are we going?
Hopefully to Amsterdam, Berlin and Bodrum.
Do you think about time as an artist?
Only in the notion of having too little of it, when it comes to my artistic practice.
When the going gets tough…
I will most probably go for a walk or take a nap.

What would you do if you could change the World?
Ban skinny jeans.

Detaching it from capitalist agendas.
