Where are you from?
I grew up in the countryside but have lived in London for years with two years in NYC in my early 20’s.
What do you do?
I design and make military styled jackets with a twist for men and women.
Your style in 3 words?
Classic/ bohemian and wellington boots!
What is your weakness?
Timekeeping.
What is your strength?
Loyalty.
What makes you different?
That I come from an interior and events back ground and I ended up making bespoke jackets for people.
A few words about your work?
I always loved uniforms (my father was in the army) and I wanted a modern take on the classic Napoleonic jacket which is my favourite style.. Next up Hussars jackets with fur trimmed collars and tails.
How did it all start?
I have always loved and made costumes, and in recent years I customised vintage military jacket, which I scoured vintage stores for – re-lined them and adorned them. I decided to design them myself when I customised about 40 for Burning man in 2010.. last year I sent 92 bespoke military jackets with neon flashing wire on to the desert…
What inspires you?
Old Books on military uniforms, military parades, hunt and field masters, period dramas.
Anything new coming up?
Military tail coats, detachable fur collars and a kids range.
