What makes you different?
I have two different eye colours
When did you decide to become an artist?
When I was a child — but then I suppressed it for a few years and had to remind myself again.
What do you find most fascinating about your work?
The totally satisfying moment when you forget yourself while doing it.
A few words about your favourite creation?
It is a painting in which the shimmering green of spring fields is captured. I really tried a lot to achieve this flickering green — and all of a sudden it was there. And I realized I had captured something vivid — vivid on its own. It changed my attitude towards my work.

Who would you like to work with someday and why?
I would love to work with institutions such as Museumsinsel Hombroich, Villa Kamogawa or Villa Massimo, to do a residency.
A new project coming up or an idea you want to work on?
Some exhibitions (Berlin, Stockholm) with the NBB gallery representing me and a group show in Tokyo in 2022.

Put on your future vision glasses: What direction is our generation moving in, what will our world look like in 50 years?
I hope that people still enjoy a good coffee and sit in the sun. They are feeling the warmth of the sun’s rays on their skin. They allow themselves to rest and think of nothing. And the coffee is — as always — created under the protection of environment and people.
What would you do if you could change the World?
I would double up the ability and inner urge to act emphatically, for all people.
If the universe is everything and it’s expanding, what is it expanding into?
I don’t want to know. Bigger than everything — that’s too big for my mind.
