A few words about your favourite work, your own or another person’s?

My two true and long-time heroes are Matthias Grünewald and Niko Pirosmani. My paintings would not be what they are without them.

Your main source of inspiration?

To see really good art inspires me a lot. It fills me up with a strong urge to create myself  – I  want to go to the studio straight away and work.

What do you find most fascinating about the creative process?

That the road is never straight and even. You go up and down and can never predict it.

When did you decide to become an artist?

I don t know if I really decided to be an artist, it happened. I used to paint a lot when I was a child.

Any new project coming up, you want to tell us about?

A solo exhibition is coming up in Holland this fall.
